Candy Loving is an American model born on September 4, 1956, in Oswego, Kansas. Her real name is Candis Loving. Her mother had four other children. The whereabouts of her father remain unknown. The family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma in 1959. Fortunately, this change was not a monumental one for because the two cities are a two-hour drive from each other. She was also young at that point. She attended Ponca City High School graduating from it in 1974. Then she enrolled for a journalism degree at the University of Oklahoma.
Interestingly, Candy's husband triggered her rise to fame. He urged her to take photos for Playboy as the magazine was conducting a nationwide competition. At that time, Candy worked as a waiter in addition to working in a dress store. She was a college student as well That happened in 1978. She was 22-years-old at the time Then, Candy's rise to fame came in January 1979 when she became a Playmate of the Month for Playboy Magazine. Dwight Hooker photographed her centerfold.
Many people say that Hookers mastery of nude photography was critical to the popularity of Candy's pictures. Hooker died in 2015 when he was 86 years old. Candy appeared in several Playboy publications from the late 1970s to the early 2000s. It is worth noting that Candy featured in various TV and film productions. Her first one was a TV series known as Dance Fever (1979) where she played herself. She also acted in the Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo (1980) and Stardust Memories (1980).
Candy won the Great Playmate Hunt in 1978. She was competing against 3,500 models in this hunt. The reward for her was a naked centerfold for Playboy in January 1979. She also got $25,000 for this feature in addition to being Playboy's 25th Anniversary Playmate. Another reward that Candy got for her hot body was traveling the world in 1979 as an ambassador for Playboy Magazine. Her tits in topless photos also won the hearts of many even though her most people loved her nude centerfold.
Candy felt that fame was not working out well for her, so she tried to escape it by continuing with her education. More specifically, Candy reenrolled into the University of Oklahoma to complete her degree in Journalism. She also had plans to do a doctorate program in human relations. Candy made these sweeping changes to her life in 1981. She was 25 years old. However, Candy did not turn away from fame completely. She continued with publicity work for Playboy magazine as she pursued her studies. Candy wanted to step out of the limelight in phases.
Sadly, these thoughts came to her when her marriage had ended. Ron Prather had married Candy in 1974 after she graduated from high school. She was 18-years-old at the time Candy did not give up on love. She still felt that she could find someone to love and that person would marry her
Later, she would meet Dave Reavis. Reavis is a former offensive lineman for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Candy moved to Tampa to stay with him, but the relationship ended after a short while. Today, she still lives in Tampa, Florida.
Candy decided to remain in Southern Florida where she worked in the health-care industry. More specially, she deigned benefit packages for companies. Candy's life now is remarkably different from that what other people had thought it would be. For example, she avoided the porn industry as much as she could.
